What's New In The Shop!

Happy Holidays Everyone!

I hope everyone enjoyed their Thanksgiving as much as I enjoyed mine!  I spent my vacation in Florida with my family and some friends that I have known for a very long time.  We had 40 people at our Thanksgiving table this year and had it was wonderful!  I am truly blessed to be able to see my "extended" family every year for a fabulous week on Siesta Key!

Now that Thanksgiving is over we can finally put our normal radio station back on.  We have been doing a little boycotting of it since they started to play Christmas music the day after Halloween!  Don't get me wrong, we love the holiday season, just not starting on November 1st!

Not much has come into the shop this past month.  Jo Morton's Jo's Variety is here and we have already sold out of the toile.  Not to worry, more has been ordered!  This collection is all red and creams and is again quite yummy!

We have received Edyta Sitar's newest collection for Moda, Indian Summer, which has lovely prints and batiks.  The prints are in shades of berry red, vintage blue, cocoa and tea.  The batiks are beautifully coordinated with the prints.

We also have received the latest Timeless Treasures Tonga collection called Green Tea.  There are wonderful shades of olive greens and teals in this group.

Donate For Life Quilts:

My friend, Michelle, who is one of two Family Support Counselors for Upstate New York Transplant Services (UNYTS). The counselors support donor families during their time of grief due to the sudden tragedy of a family member passing. One way they can do this is to offer the families a comfort quilt. These are small quilts about 24" X 48-60" which will be draped across the bed of the family's loved one by one of the counselors. When their loved one has passed, the family will be able to take the quilt home to keep. The UNYTS counselors are hoping to expand this program within Western New York. We can all help by donating small quilts of this size so they may be distributed to local families in the hope of bringing a little bit of comfort during a very sad time. Any quilts that you make for this program can be dropped off at the shop and we will make sure they get to the counselors at UNYTS. Thank you.

The American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post 1451 in Wheatfield, New York is participating in a service porject to make lap quilts for local veterans who reside in area nursing homes.  There is a basket at Pine Grove where you can make donations of a fat quarters or half yard cuts.  These can either be from your stash or purchased at Pine Grove.  The ladies are looking for red, white, blue, yello, gold or any other patriotic themed prints.  Thank you for your support.

Wishing you all a holiday season that is filled with happiness and love!
